This does not mean that one late snack will damage health or guarantee insomnia. It means that the body responds to food timing as one of several environmental signals, alongside light exposure, physical activity, and sleep timing. Caffeine, Energy Drinks, Tea, and Chocolate

Vegetables, Protein, and Hydrating Foods Require Nuance
Raw vegetables and protein-rich foods were presented in the original discussion as difficult to digest and therefore unsuitable at night. This generalization should be corrected. Vegetables are valuable sources of fiber, vitamins, minerals, and other beneficial compounds, and many people tolerate them well at dinner.
