Action Steps
SMART Goal 1: Obtain basic cloud Certifications
Obtaining core qualifications, like AWS Certified Solutions Architect—Associate, is critical throughout the initial year of my timetable. These certifications confirm my cloud computing abilities and expertise since they prove the competence needed to advance in the profession (Michael Kerner, 2024).
SMART Goal 2: Gain hands-on Experience with cloud migration projects
It is vital to actively engage in migration to the cloud initiatives in the following year. The hands-on learning will strengthen my grasp of cloud platforms, but computing will also show my capacity to utilize academic information in practical situations, which is critical to potential advancements (Michael Kerner, 2024).
SMART Goal 3: Obtain advanced cloud Certification
Gaining advanced credentials such as an AWS certificate is essential. These qualifications are required when applying for senior positions and taking on complicated cloud-related tasks, assuring ongoing professional advancement (Michael Kerner, 2024).
Potential Barriers and Solutions
Potential Barriers:
The first challenge I might confront is an absence of Canadian job experience, which is greatly appreciated by companies. This might make it hard for me to land my initial employment in an environment of competition, as numerous applicants have native expertise.
A further issue is the competitiveness of the marketplace. Canada’s cloud computing sector is fiercely competitive, so distinguishing yourself from other suitable applicants will be critical.
Certificates are often prohibitively expensive and time-consuming.
Learning to adapt to the Canadian workplace environment may also be tough. Knowing local workplace norms and standards will require time and adaptation.
Lastly, employment permit and visa issues may impede my job advancement, as managing regulations regarding immigration is unpredictable and takes time.
Strategies for overcoming Barriers:

(Source: self-made using Google Collab))
To compensate for my absence from Canadian employment history, I want to explore apprenticeships or volunteering opportunities to get local knowledge and create an expert network.
I plan to pursue higher qualifications and constantly improve my abilities to establish myself in job opportunities.
I will develop a disciplined study timetable and budget to handle certification costs and time efficiently.
To swiftly learn and assimilate into the Canadian workplace environment, I plan to seek mentoring and attend social tech events.
To guarantee an effortless visa and permit for employment application procedure, I will compile the necessary papers ahead of time and seek professional guidance.
