In completing the (D224 Task Final) paper, I was able to enhance my skills in analyzing and interpreting data for the purpose of identifying population needs and creating solutions to improve quality and patient outcomes. The task allowed me to delve into the process of data analysis which involved collecting, analyzing, and organizing relevant data to gain insights into the health needs and outcomes of a specific population of Tampa, Florida. Throughout this task completion, I was able to develop a deeper understanding of how data can inform decision-making and drive improvements in healthcare.
In addition, the task facilitated my ability to critically evaluate and interpret data as well as identify resources that were needed to facilitate Tampa’s population such as establishing school-based health centres and a large budget for healthcare initiatives to provide healthcare access to Hispanic children. Moreover, after conducting a preliminary content analysis of the collected data, I was able to suggest an evidence-based intervention program, “Incorporation of Community Health Workers (CHWs)” into the primary care team to help the healthcare facilities in Tampa to improve overall patient outcomes. Intervention suggested that healthcare workers need to conduct home visits to educate Hispanic families about the available healthcare programs.
One of the key concepts of the task was conducting how the intervention will decrease the gap by adopting the Community Health Workers program. The intervention suggested in the task aimed to improve healthcare access, affordability, and health outcomes for the vulnerable population of the city. The evaluation of the effectiveness of intervention suggested that CHWs have the potential to close the resource gap by enhancing healthcare access and outcomes for low-income Hispanic people in Tampa City. In a nutshell, after analyzing the data related to the health disparities in Tampa City and the effectiveness of the suggested intervention program in the assigned task, I was able to identify areas where improvements could be made to better meet the needs of the population.
