With the increase in the mounts in Syria, there is an increase observed in the unbearable situation of the international paralysis. The role of internal forces and the role of the external regions are almost same in the blood-shedding observed in the country. Both constitute the same part for the situation of the country. In this case, the emergence of Syria with complete dominance is required (Al-Assad, 2011). If Syria becomes successful in getting rid of the adverse influence caused by the regional politics, only then it is possible to stop the violence in the country to some extent. A genuine change might be observed by the relief from the negative forces. To understand the struggle for democracy in Syria, the current political situation of the country needs to understand.
In the current time, Al-Qaeda Affiliated and the banning of sending opposition the supply of weapons has created a counter situation which is unable to be handled with peace. An increase is observed in the affiliated with Al-Qaeda. Their strength has enhanced in the past time. Terrorist from 70 different countries are basing now in Syria at this moment (Ganji, 2017). This news has been confirmed by the International Centre for the study of Radicalization (Based in London). Among the huge amount of terrorist present in the country, most of them are getting into the Al-Nusra, showing their basic affiliation to the Al-Qaeda basing in Iraq. As complex the situation seems, as bigger it is getting day by day. The most important thing which needs to be highlighted is the supply of the weapons in the country. Religious extremism has made Saudi Arabia give the terrorists financial funding in Syria. In this situation, Amnesty International asked the important financial funding countries to stop the supply of weapons to the oppositions in Syria.
This was mention in the report of December 18. Extremists in Syria need to have zero back-ups by Saudi Arabia in case of Military and financial funding. Contrary to this, the free Syrian army has been downgraded. They are treated like strangers in their own place. Not only this, one of the groups backed up Saudi took over the headquarters of the Syrian army along with their weapons leaving them in a helpless situation. The willingness of the leader oy Syrian Army, Iselin Idris, with the radicals left the people in a chaotic situation since they were hopeful about his role in the struggle for attaining their democracy back. From changing the political geography of the area to leaving the army of the country in a backless situation, the country is still trying to gain the long-lost democracy and make peace with the radicals in the country.
Along with many social, economic and political factors, the unification of Syria with Egypt led to the downfall of the democracy in Syria. After the year 1958, the country is still progress of getting its long-lost democracy back. However, the complete end of violence in the country seems more like a dream than a reality. In the present, the key parts are under the observation of Assad until he steps down. Currently, there is a diverse culture observed in Syria. In this situation, Syria needs to manage the diverse ethnicity and the religious structure of the country. Besides, there is a need that the country determines its position in the conflicts between Israel and Saudi Arabia. However, this seems a difficult situation when the external forces are sane enough to exploit the diverse built-up of the country in an attempt of making the built-up grounded on their own hegemonic plans. After all, the country is surrounded by unfriendly and aggressive geographical forces. To the east of the country lies Iran which wants to excel on the basis of its Anti-American and rigid religious ambitions.
To the south of the county of the country resides Saudi Arabia which is already backing up so many radicals present in Saudi Arabia. This is not the end of the aggressive neighboring geographical conditions. To the north of the country, Turkey is playing its own role by being the most democratic country holding the tendency t influence the Arab world. In this situation, certain leaders emerged in Syria for stopping their people to suffer. Most of them remained unsuccessful. It was found out that the relationship with the radials might work, however, no such situation has been encountered so far in the country (KRÓKOWSKA, 2011).
The leaders in Syria at start thought of emerging on the basis of religious grounds. This was one of the most risk-taking points to rising since the region inside and around the country is surrounded by extremist’s religious people. All these extremists have no flexibility in their beliefs and thus are attempting to expand their territories outside and within the country as well. In this situation, an instability is encountered in the country which is making Syria Vulnerable for the neighboring countries. Being the minority, Syria is facing the violence of these groups. Current situation of Syria is getting ruthless with every passing day. There is no space for the people who are trying to make peaceful conversations and actions for gaining freedom along with dignity in their nation. However, if any case the situation becomes favorable for the people to have a peaceful conversation then there will be a time in future when the Islam enthusiasts will no longer be able to hijack all the demonstrations that are lying in the country.
Keeping in view the situation through which is Syria is going, attaining a situation where everything will be peaceful and under control of the actual members of the country seems possible with certain assumptions and tactics. Syrian community has dreamt that one day the international community will be recognizing their place and their influence in the country. However, the situation over here is a bit complicated. All the external forces operating in the country seem to have certain kind of obsession with the sectarian rivalries found in the county. These rivalries are like oxygen in the entire situation required by the inflammatory rhetoric. There are certain situations that need to be checked. If these situations will remain unchecked or ignored, then the suffering of the country will increase. The situation which need o checked is the incitement against the Syrian Minorities. Adding fuel to the situation of religious integrity by the TV stations and certain notable people including the Chief Justice of Saudi Arabia, the outcome of the situation will be aggressive. Other people included in this situation are the people from supreme judicial council along with the behavior of Iran which is quite destructive in nature. The situations mentioned above can increase the bloodbath leaving the people in a situation of chaos.
External forces have always been an issue for the countries tending to have a low pace for their progress. In this case, the international community was no hindrance in the countries of Egypt and Tunisia when the countries moved on with their pace and high motivation for establishing themselves. There is a need for a diplomatic intervention in Syria since keeping in view the current situation the Libyan-style military intervention would not be able to work for the people. The diplomatic intervention will be helpful in stabilizing the situation faced by the country at this moment. The role of the international community, in this case, can be extremely positive. The international community’s goal must be to persuade neighboring countries to halt their brazen, unwarranted attacks on parts of Syrian society. In particular, the role of the United States can never be underestimated. There is a significant impact of the United States observed on Saudi Arabia.
This impact can be of great use in stopping the attacks currently observed in abundance in the country of Syria. Besides this, the United States can play its part about the extremists in Syria which are being backed up by the Saudi Arabia officials. Even the attacks provoked by the slight differences in sectors can be overcome with the backup given by the United States of America. In the same way, United States can play its role in the disputes caused by the role of Iran. All such disputes can be weakened with the influence of States in that region as well. In this situation, Turkey can never be forgotten. The regional ambitions of turkey should be kept in mind while the influence of the United States is being discussed.
To conclude, the situation being faced by Syria can be overcome with certain recommendations. The official of the country should accept the real situation instead of focusing on the optimistic approach while there would be movement in Syria promoting the peace and requiring the backup by the international communities. Rapid changes will result in failure of all the movements, hence the changes required at this moment need to diplomatic and handled with care. Peaceful gradual change is the best offer at this moment. Protection of regional interference will be helpful as well. The country as a whole holds numerous resources and will be able to stand back on its position with the best possible utilization of these resources.
