Analysis & Explanation:
The universe has revealed multiple truths and realities to humanity regarding the ongoing process of life on the globe. The factual truth of real life on this planet is fear. Life goes on with numerous phases of having fear or not having fear in this universe. The said quote from the assigned chapter reveals this truth and is also the central idea of this chapter. The biggest fear relates to the threat of life, and war is the real cause of this fear and danger. The direct or indirect snatching of the right to live from any person links to the lust for power and the lust for wealth. These types of lust urge the personals to start a war to fulfil their said desires.
As far as the notion of the assigned chapter is concerned, it revolves around the fear of war and fear of death. However, my viewpoint regarding the tone of the chapter validates it as that wars are the reality of the world. Wars are not always incorrect; sometimes, it is necessary to begin a war to establish peace. So, the rightness of war depends upon the cause for what is being fought. Moreover, the assigned chapter communicated with me, and it has not changed my views; instead, it validated my stance about the nexus of war and fear.
Furthermore, the assigned chapter addresses the things that I do personally feel in my life. Persons of my age are confronted with the aftershocks of the war on terrorism daily. We are not always afraid of such incidents and terrorist attacks, but a hidden fear is always there to tease us in open places and crowds. So, the aftermath of war is a bitter reality in this world, and I have personally experienced this situation. Every new incident of terrorism in any part of the world breeds fear among the masses. However, the need of the hour is hope, as every cloud has a silver lining at the end.
