The History chapters are filled with the oppression and colonization stories of Americans and Europeans that have surpassed in creating disputes and abuse towards non-Christians and ethnic groups of people. The era of the 19th century is inevitable for the oppression and tyranny of American-Europeans in various regions of Asia, Africa, and America. This paper is divided into two parts. The first part is about the ideology of oppression and slavery. A few aspects of the historical background of African-American slavery and the role of oppression are added in this section. Part two of the assignment is about the application of the oppression model to school bullying and the examination of the relationship between the oppressor and oppressed and their social outcomes. Thus, the assignment has the analysis on the macroscopic and as well as microscopic level.
The people who were oppressors and slaves throughout the phase of brutality and crudity of colonial and confining people were so much subjected to feel the pain, tyranny and cruel regimes that they even lost the idea of reconstruction. The earlier period was full of captured Africans who were the victims of prejudice. There were many thousands of enslaved people that were brought to the North American region by the late 17th century. This disparity all happened in a long chain of historical events, and to expand the colonial power and maintain oppression, an enactment was passed in 1692 to prioritize slavery. But slavery did not prevail, and it ended with a new beginning in the form of slave riots. Although U.S. law states the rights of black people, unjust behavior still comes in many forms, such as racial discrimination.
Oppression is an unjustified treatment that is prolonged without any reason for it. The point of cruelty is just to degrade and dehumanize the people and make them slaves. The ideology is described in an example from American-African racism history. Africans were targeted and controlled for the purpose of creating a society whole of slaves. Their rights were looted, and they were obliged to live in the confinement of slavery. On the other hand, the oppressors or the noble people had all the rights to have freedom, liberty, and peace.
The modern African-American people are now living life with some amendments for equality in the American system. The idea of oppression denies the real significance of any individual and African-American living in equity because of the mindset of people that helped in the transmutation of the environment for the oppressed Africans. The environment that you live in and the conditions you face give you the space to learn and to absorb. The only thing that helped to transcend this oppression- slavery conflict between two nations is the untiring perseverance.
This model of oppression can apply to the modern form that is school bullying. The meaning of oppression is simply getting domination over the suppressed people by throwing cruel behavior deliberately. The culture of school bullying was evolving at all school levels. The reason for its emergence is the disparity in setting up students of low grades from high grades. This difference evokes aggressive and violent behavior. And consequently, the dehumanization element builds among students. The blackmailers or oppressors control the behavior and social life of oppressed students and mediate an expression of slavery in the form of social disconnection. This notion of social isolation pushes the student to the next level of social death. An example of modern oppression is a girl of age 12 who was reported to be threatened by his friends at Georgetown School in Texas. She called by words like slave and ape.
Oppression and slavery both these words have been a part of many countries and many nations. It has become a history on a major scale. The cruel meaning of oppression and slavery has changed into modern-day slavery. The focus should be to concentrate on individualism, respect, integrity, and humanity. No one has the right to be born a slave, or no one has the right to deprive any person of his freedom and liberty. The world would be peaceful when there is equality. The need is to make yourself more humanized and more supportive towards each other.
