Investigating the global food issues and the attempts being made by local governments to address these issues

Introduction

Food Crisis across the Globe: One of the biggest issues in the world is food security and the members of the United Nations are on a mission to develop a system that can guarantee food security globally (Lagi et al., 2011). Improving the agricultural techniques to produce more nutritious foods will help in achieving this goal. This research will discuss the global food issues and the attempts that are made by local governments to address these issues.

Problem Statement

Food shortages around the world: Food security is one of the world’s most pressing challenges, and UN member states are working to put in place a system to ensure global food security (Lassa, 2012). The biggest blow to food security in these countries was the conversion of agricultural land to industrial land for economic purposes. Global conflicts and natural disasters are considered to be the main causes of the food crisis. War-torn countries can disrupt trade by refusing to supply other countries, forcing them to buy goods at higher prices, and helping inflation.

Research Significance

This research will make food security a priority, hence global starvation will be solved as well. Local governments will be working on regenerative food systems that will provide food for the people but also prevent nature from degrading.

Research Objective

1. To improve the agricultural techniques for producing more nutritious food around the world
2. To reform government policies relating to improvement of food production and accessibility

Research Questions

1. What are the agricultural techniques improvements required for producing more nutritious food around the world?
2. What policy reforms does the government need to improve food production and accessibility?

Methodology

Some national and state surveys will produce data on food security and weight status as part of this study methodology (Lagi et al., 2011). Focus groups, interviews, and photographic projects are examples of qualitative methods that will be used to highlight important interests in a particular cultural context.

Conclusion

In summary, local governments will help secure food security and reduce global food problems (Lassa, 2012). To fight hunger, the most important goal is to improve agriculture and produce enough food to feed the population that is growing.
