Critical thinking as a way of solving the problem of diversity in Global learning

Diversity is a situation that affects many learning situations. It is always essential that instructors and students should come up with measures to use in the process of learning. The standards will ensure that all learners across the world can interact with one another and learn concepts without any problem. Diversity can sometimes lead to a situation where people are not able to agree on the content, mode of instruction as well as the mode of assessment they will be used in learning. Critical thinking can best solve the problem of diversity in the learning situation (Kenneth, P45). Critical thinking allows learners to see conditions differently to that they can solve the problems associated with it.

Different opinions may result in different assumptions that can either be wrong or right based on the topic. Global learning is supposed to link people from different parts of the world so that they can learn the same concepts. This will ensure that graduates from various schools around the globe have the standard knowledge and skills for the job market. I also feel that global learning may not change a lot of things because different regions have different job markets. The knowledge required by a given job market might not be necessary for another job market. It will, therefore, be of no importance to have a learning system where people from all over the world get the same knowledge and skills. I believe that learning should be customized depending on the region.

The assumption that people have is that global learning is not easy to achieve since people come from different parts of the world. With the increasing rate at which technology helps learners from all over the world to engage in learning, it will be easy for learners to interact and share knowledge. Global learning can help raise the standards of education in different parts of the world. Currently, many places do not offer the required standard of education (Alvino, P23). If students from such regions can interact with students from other parts of the world, it is possible that they can also get the standard quality of education. It will make it easy for people to get jobs from any part of the world. Currently, people are not able to get the quality of jobs they need since they do not have the required qualifications in the specific country or region.

By looking at the different assumptions that people have across the world, I can conclude that critical thinking can solve the problem of diversity. Before making any judgment on whether global learning can succeed or not, people should evaluate first so that they make the best conclusions. Many people conclude that global learning is not easy to achieve. The fact of the matter is that global learning is easy to accomplish when people evaluate the diversities they have. They can then come up with proper solutions to the diversities to create a learning system where every student can fit.

The environment I live in defines my belief and behaviours. I believe that we have different beliefs as a result of culture and religion (Alvino, P56). There are common beliefs that we have. For example, almost every society believes that learning should produce an individual who can solve the real-life problems.

There exist multiple perspectives on conflicts within cultures. I believe that through critical thinking, we can come up with the best solution for such a situation. We can evaluate each of the perspectives so that we pick on the one that provides the best solutions to the problems that affect global learning.

Based on different cultures, we shall integrate the important aspects of every culture to come up with a universal learning platform that will be suitable for every student. Every culture has a good aspect. Since there are many cultures across the world and it might be difficult to integrate them into one, we can come up with a learning system that looks at the most important aspects of all the cultures (Kenneth, P89). Critical thinking will ensure that all the available cultures are reviewed objectively before coming up with a learning system. This will ensure that every learner feels like he or she is part of the system.
