Choosing the right field for pursuing an educational and professional career should be one of the integral parts of one person’s achievement goals. We should take all the factors into consideration while choosing a career, such as reliability, aptitude, monetary benefit, and impact on the family. Studying and operating the latest technology, including high-tech machinery, is my forte. Therefore, I had an immense fondness for the field of radiology. The “Radiologic Technologist/ Radiographer” is a medical practitioner who dedicatedly works with other medical professionals to provide a diagnosis for a patient’s injury or disease. Radiologic technologist uses high-tech medical equipment to produce radiological images for their diagnosis. There are several reasons for me to choose this field for my career. I have chosen the field of radiology as my educational and professional career due to its reliability, aptitude, and social interaction with other medical professionals.
I always wanted to pursue a field that is reliable and has a low stress level. The field of radiography is known to be the most reliable profession in this evolving society. Being a professional Radiologic Technologist/ Radiographer provides potential monetary benefits, accelerated upward mobility, and financial security. This profession can help us make a high salary with less work pressure and flexibility. It gives prosperous opportunities to balance between personal and professional life.
My personal and professional aptitude has always been in the field of radiography. My father is a professional radiologic technologist. Therefore, I have observed him efficiently working in this field without any extra work burden. He is always successful in his professional life and gives personal time to his family, which is the most important factor for me when choosing this field. I have had firsthand experience of observing the medical equipment used in this field because of my father, who boosted my fondness for this field.
The field of radiography demands teamwork abilities and efficient communication with other medical professionals to provide medical care. The major traits of my personality are socialization, efficient communication, and teamwork. This field requires an extrovert lifestyle and decent appearance, which I can easily adhere to. I have always excelled in teamwork projects because of my extroverted nature, social behaviour, and extensive conversations with others. Therefore, the job of a radiologic technologist is an ideal professional career for me.
After family discussions and my analysis, I concluded that a professional career as a radiologic technologist is rewarding for me. It is a respective and in-demand medical profession in the healthcare industry with financial stability, reliability, prospective future, and a balanced workload. I always wanted to be in a profession that would make a positive impact on humanity and provide professional opportunities for a secure future and financial stability for my family.
