Theodore Roosevelt Essay

Theodore Roosevelt was the governor of New York and then later on elected as the President of USA considered as the reformer during the progressive era. Some of the historians call him the conservative but being the youngest President of USA of 42 years resumed the office of President. His policies which were the most progressive including the ecological conservatism and antimonopoly policies which proved him the best President during that time.
The Sherman Antitrust Act which was passed under his presidency broke the monopoly and improved the American workplace by contributing his services to all classes living in the United States of America. The main reason for his accomplishments was his personality which convinced everyone around him because he was committed towards his goal. Throughout his time he strongly supported the desegregation of women and tried quite hard for eliminating the discrimination faced by the African American. His support to African people can be seen through the exemplary action of him to host first time Booker T. Washington an African American guest in the white house. He took significant actions to save the environment and took several initiatives for this purpose. The Republican Party which was known the conservative party was against the progressive actions (Tindall, George and David E, 54)
