Labor migration has become much common in chine. Labor from villages move towards city to support their families. However there are several challenges that these migrant labor have to face when to choose to migrate towards cities to earn a better living. Many young men and women in their thirties and twenties have migrated to cities so that they can better up bring their families. But challenges are unavoidable. Labor force has to work under severe conditions. They are paid less. They are deceived. They are forced to work for little money. But this is the only choice they have. There are too many mouths to be fed but people in villages’ do not have much resources for that. People living in the villages of china need cash to give school fee, pay hospital charges or to prepare a dowry. To earn cash, many of them have moved to cash centers or cities. The writer of the article demonstrates the story of his friends’ three uncles who migrated to cities to earn cash for their families. One of their daughter was sold for money. She was forced to marry. But latter she was fortunate enough to escape. Such are challenges of migrants who move to cities to earn a better living.
People in cities are compelled by their poverty and circumstances to migrate to cities and earn cash for their families. The writer of the article tells about the wife of one of his friend’s uncle. She was suffering from arthritis and her husband had to go to cities to earn some money for the treatment of his wife. Migrant labor has to do dirty jobs. They mostly work in cities that ate close to their villages. In this way they can send money easily and can go back to home whenever they want. Migrant labor work under severe circumstances only to support their families (Wright, 1999).
