One of the fundamental ways of staying healthy is consuming the right amount of nutrition. There is no greater gift in life than the gift of health. One of the most important factors that keep us active in our studies or jobs is eating healthy and nutritious food. I have heard from your mother that you have been ill for quite some time now. Jack, you need to eat healthy food. This is not the first time I have heard that you have fallen sick. You have a very bad eating habit. The choices of your food have not been very impressive that keep the body strong and vigorous. You have a habit of consuming soft drinks that have an enormous amount of sugar in it. One of the reasons for poor nutrition is over-eating. The body remains healthy and active when one leaves a portion of his body empty. In this way, the body does not feel the heaviness. If a person eats too much, he feels lethargic and it renders a person inactive. Jack, you are my best cousin and I want to see you in perfect health. You need to refrain from eating food which is high in cholesterol, salt, and sugar. These eating habits can be changed and you can regain your health. It is not a disease, but instead, it has to do with the behavior of a person.
There are particular times when people consume fruits and a time to eat a meal. It has been a long time since I have seen you eat breakfast on time or lunch at 2 pm. You have a habit of eating after midnight. People get struck with obesity if they eat food and immediately go to sleep. The body needs time for metabolism, and the body does not metabolize unless you walk or exercise. In order to stay healthy, one needs to eat a proper food, and also to exercise. If you do not pay heed to your health and change your eating habits, then, in the long run, it will have adverse effects on your body. There was a survey done by the National Center of Health Statistics in the year of 2003, and they found out that around 65% of people are struck with obesity due to bad eating habits (Dey & Bloom, 2005). Obesity can lead a person to detrimental health issues. I have not seen you eat a proper meal that has iron in it. Iron is extremely important for the body to function, and by eating spinach or broccoli or fresh meat, you need to get the iron inside your body.
One of the main reasons you feel tired and indolent is the lack of iron in your body. The main consequences of this are the high risk of anemia when the body has very little iron inside a body. I had noticed the last time we met that you are losing an incredible amount of hair and that has to do with the dryness and brittleness of your hair. Proteins are essential for a person’s body, and if one does not get enough proteins and vitamins, then it leads to the paleness and dryness of the skin. The entities inside our bodies that protect us from diseases and illness are white blood cells, and with poor nutrition, these white blood cells are unable to operate effectively and efficaciously. These cells are essential to our bodies in fighting against the detrimental diseases and illnesses, for instance, cancer. It is imperative to consume vitamins, zinc, and proteins for a strong immune system.
The habits of eating unhealthy food and not consuming the right nutrients can also lead your level of blood sugar considerably low and in some case extremely high. The signs of having a low blood sugar level in the body are that a person experiences headaches, fatigue in the body and disproportionate sweating. It has been reported by National Institutes of Health that poor nutrition can partly cause certain kinds of cancer(Mokdad, Marks, Stroup, & Gerberding, 2004). These types include breast, colon and bladder cancer, and it has to do with the fact that person is not eating the right nutrition. You need to refrain yourself from eating fast-food and other similar items that include processed meat, French fries, and doughnuts. If you do not change your eating habits it can eventually lead to a number of health problems, which include hypertension, heart diseases, heart strokes, diabetes, depression, obesity, certain types of cancer and list goes on.
You are still in your late teen years and you can recover your health by following a simple diet plan. This is not hard as you can imagine it to be. You need to start by removing all the processed and fast-food meals. You need to take a moderate amount of fruits in your body. As you have heard the saying that goes around with the apple, start the day with a medium-sized breakfast and an apple. It is vital to take three meals i.e. breakfast, lunch, and dinner on time. Start eating at least two fruits in a day and three or four vegetables. Remove all the energy and soft drinks from your diet, and only consume clean water because there is nothing healthier drink than a clean water. Avoid eating late night or after midnight, the body does not get the time to metabolize what you ate. Lastly, start some exercise, this will keep you healthy and after doing exercise drink a milkshake and a fruit or a vegetable to stay healthy.
