Ethical and Moral Training of Military Personnel

It is instructed for the modern army to ensure that ethical practices are effective. An image of the ideal military type usually involves moral qualities, such as honesty, integrity, courage, and loyalty, and the military both moral and legal duties to comply with high ethical standards and the laws of war in the performance of their duties. However, the fact that the moral character of decent education should not be developed, and the effectiveness of current education programs to stimulate ethical behavior fully understand when the role is morally well accepted is widely accepted at the military. In Iraq’s ongoing war, unacceptable behavior emerged among the troops, as in previous conflicts. However, one wonders whether the behavior leads to some “bad apples” or a weapon refers to the more general problem of learning ethics.

In this article, it is recommended that the development of a sound moral character in military personnel requires much more than ethical classes in military education programs. Two steps need the development of practical education in the field of military ethics. Initially, it requires an understanding of the theoretical basis of moral character and moral virtue. Exciting words such as “energy” and “meanings” are often not defined clearly and without explaining what is necessary to move. Secondly, a critical analysis of military education and culture must be influenced by the impact of all military personnel on their behavior and character. Without this analysis, the addition of moral training in a few hours will be small to act against the effects maybe hundreds of hours injuries devoted to other areas of education and military practice.

As I argue, there are at least two aspects of education and a military culture that can develop their characteristics; The real meaning of the need for ethical military behavior can be – this is the development of a single union and military way. The team is skilled in killing and encouraging killing. Not only is a personal failure, but merely the product of “evil apples” in the military profession – The failure of the military to complete military virtues. Instead, these failures can, in part, be traced on institutional military practices that promote ethical psychology problems. For this reason, the development of good moral qualities in military personnel requires the review of military and military culture and the development of an effective, ethical training program.
