Entrepreneur Interview Project

In this entrepreneur interview project, I will write the experience of interviewing an entrepreneur, what I have learned from the experience, and how the results from my interview would help me shape my ideas for developing a new business. The entrepreneur I have chosen for the interview is my uncle, a respectable citizen, and well-known entrepreneur of Chicago. I had the fortunate experience of interviewing my entrepreneur uncle, Vincent Cornell who has conveyed trust, reliability, happiness, and satisfaction to his customers by building reliable houses for them in Chicago for a long time. There are a number of distinct definitions for the term “entrepreneur,” but the best definition that suits him is the “risk-taker.” He has spent more than his 10 precious years designing and flipping houses for people in Chicago and has earned his name around. He is interrogated on the steps he has taken to build his name in entrepreneurship and his experiences with market experts in order to escalate his business as his company has made tremendous growth over the past 10 years.

Personal Opinion and Evaluation of the Business

Construction business under the umbrella of Vincent Cornell has managed to make its name in all aspects of construction and renovation of new buildings as well as added spaces. The team manages to work with the clients until they occupy space for their living and offers its consultancy in transition management, strategic planning, and facilities management.

Personal Opinion and Evaluation of the Entrepreneur

Vincent was always passionate about buildings, construction, strategic planning, and management. His passion led him to work in the construction industry but for someone else. During his work experience, he decided to help people as well as himself at a fair price to offer his services to people he was good in. His background in project management, facilities, accounting, strategic planning, etc. helped him to offer all these diverse services under one umbrella to his client and therefore he started his own construction company in Chicago. As a passionate business owner, he has been fortunate to tailor his services to his clients exactly how they need them. He always seems responsible and true to his work as he is always on the site with his team to manage any construction project by himself to make the construction experience much more convenient for his team as well as his client. Indeed, Vincent is a good support system in place- both professionally as an entrepreneur and personally who always does his best to maintain a life-work balance in his construction firm.

What did you learn, or how did the interview influence you?

One thing that has influenced me about Vincent and his construction business is that he never lost his hope even after experiencing the ups and downs of being an employee at a local construction company in Chicago. His optimistic nature is hope for all as he founded his own construction management firm in Chicago and becomes a leading provider of luxurious buildings for people to live their lives at best. I have learned from him how he and his prospective team has managed to build houses and become a leading provider of comfortable residential buildings to the construction industry.

Can you use the answers to the questions to help you shape your own idea for a business?

Through Vincent’s interview about introducing, starting, running, and marketing a business to be a successful entrepreneur, I have extracted that first I have to identify potential clients with whom I can work in order to start my business on my own. The first and foremost strategy for developing a business to thrive in the market is networking with the right and prospective people as much as one can to tailor services according to the clients’ needs as Vincent worked with many construction firms before starting his own.
