Health Disparities In The US

The healthcare disparities are to talk about the higher cost of the illness injuries, disabilities, as well as mortality that is experienced by a population relative to another one. Initially, the disparities were only because of race and ethnic differences, but later on, the economic and financial status of an individual was also considered when providing him with health facilities in the United States. The main aim of the paper is to discuss the health disparities in the United States, their impact on the people, and the ways to overcome the issues.

Low socioeconomic status is also correlated with poverty, educational achievements, poor health, employment, and the ultimate effects on society. All over the world, as well as the United States, there is a high level of inequality in the distribution of healthcare, resources, and quality of life. In the detail of the socio-economic, there would be a discussion that the low-wage workers are supposed to work for small businesses in which they are less likely to have access to health insurance, sick leaves, and paid vacations (National Center for Health Statistics). Also, they are not mostly allowed to use the paid time off for sick childcare as it is the most important and out of an individual’s hands. The socio-economic factor also highly disturbs the Individual in a number of old ways. The most common all over the United States is job insecurity. People fear job loss, which contributes to the decrease in the quality of physical and mental health they enjoy most. The most affected are mental health, which contributes to disturbed social life and mental stress.

Many forces are inserted into their environment, and they contribute to their overall status as well as health. The most common factors that affect health and healthcare facilities are political influence, economic factors, sociological trends, and technological innovations (Huang, Deborah, and Mijung, 85-92). These factors are very important in defining the industry and the legislation of the overall health facilities. In a discussion of political influence, there are many political forces that directly and indirectly affect the performance of healthcare departments. Economic factors are also effective, and they contribute to the competitive point of view that healthcare service providers face. For this purpose, they have to maintain the economic standards that are currently in the region.

One of the most important factors used to implement health care services is sociological trends. In this factor, demographic changes are observed, as well as new trends that help to make ways for people to live, think, work, and socialize. Technological innovations are considered the most influential, and new approaches, as well as new things used to tackle old and new problems, are considered. There would not always be the involvement of the new, highly modernized, and expensive equipment but also innovative ways to artistically handle the problems and effects of the existing issues.

The best ways to reduce the effects of health disparities on personal health will include the enhancement of educational achievements, improving economic outcomes, and strengthening not only personal finances but also the sibling spouse, parents, children, and overall family. Try to avoid unhealthy practices which would have consequences of disturbed mental and physical life in the future. Healthcare disparities are practiced in a broader way and could only be reduced by the awareness of racial as well as ethnic disparities amongst the general public in the healthcare sector.
