This is because the two articles are all based on the natural and social sciences of hunger: hunger for particular parties getting rich and for the poor to get their needs in their lifestyle.
The topic of the articles reflects on natural and social sciences regarding different forms of hunger in each article, The Hungry Tide based on two types of the hunger; hunger of the rich and desire of the poor and oppressed to get their needs in life (Devi 3). Based on the reconstruction of history from the periphery but not from the centre, the writers say that their historical study becomes the principal concept in subaltern studies. The articles answer the question of the history which is made by the men and women rewritten and unmade elision which covers postcolonial studies. The writers condemn every other kind of oppression and tyranny by colonial regimes and any political impunity.
According to my understanding of the two articles, the evidence given by the writer to support the argument is that the theoretical studies of the professor at the university provide the culture located in the year 1994 and public culture cosmopolitanism in the year 2000. In the focus of the Ghosh writers, global changes, cosmopolitanism, and even multicultural environments are well portrayed (Devi 4). I suggest that the writer’s point of view concerning colonialism is that oppressed women and men will express a Eurocentric way of perspective justification of the problem.
In my point of view regarding the social science subject brought about by the articles, the primary argument in this article is the sad tale encounters the low-class group of refugees regarding his life seen in Sundarbans islanders. The first evidence given by the writers explores issues concerning the plight and the displaced personalities. In this case, it is considerable concern that the groups who escaped the concentration, which was observed in the camps, created a niche for themselves, mostly confronted by the West Bengal government (Devi 6). The second evidence is based on dire conditions, which are an everyday way of life for Sundarban islanders. They share complexity and are very dangerous ecosystem predators (Devi 7). From this point of view, the writers focus on two types of hunger: the first hunger of the rich and oppression and hunger for the poor to meet the basic needs of their lives.
From my point of view, the articles provided me with information concerning the importance of studying the postcolonial and subaltern eras. In this case, I say that it is an essential article based on the fact that it has brought to light the importance of social power in dealing with problems such as minorities. In this article, it becomes obvious that the oppressed and the minorities are essential for the self-definition of the majority’s class.
In my point of view, the approach towards the analysis of the Hunger Tide is a very intellectual concern based on the fact that it reflects on social, subalterns and cultural boundaries. In this way, it is essential for the evidence given concerning the confidence level of the subalterns in contemporary.
