Subject: An issue about the fast food affected public health
Dear Sir,
It is requested to accept this letter to consider a health issue related to fast or junk food, which is nowadays highly common in the United States. Currently, the population of the United States, since the previous decade, has highly consuming fast food and has developed a number of health problems in society. The main aim of the paper is to discuss my research conducted on junk food and some suitable steps taken for solving the health issue with respect to fast food and the implementation of laws which would only make healthy food available in the market.
It is known that fast food is much cheaper, tasty and attractive, but because of its presentation and appeal, it should not be allowed to be consumed in society. It is known already that fast food has caused a large number of people to suffer from obesity, higher cholesterol, out-of-controlled blood pressure and diabetes. It is a current problem of society, and the inability to find food which is good and which is not appropriate for health results in such serious problems. The fast food industry is focusing on profit-making rather than providing quality. Also, they used the healthy dishes names to promote unhealthy and inappropriate dishes in public.
It is requested to kindly consider this request to implement and enforce the laws and legislature through the Food and Drugs Administration, which would help in treating the Fast food suppliers properly. There are some selected items which could be helpful in maintaining good health, but there are many as well which are harmful. It’s a request as there are many people who are facing this issue and very rarely healthy food being practised.
