The Greed in this World

The purpose shown in the movie was that the three witches meet at some lifeless and desolate place for the prediction of the future. The quotes of Macbeth are full of moral lessons and an example of the real world. The main aim of the paper is to discuss and explain the quotes in detail for understanding their deep purpose.

“Your children shall be kings; you shall be king.”

In this quote, the witches explained that Macbeth would be the king one day and nevertheless he and his children will enjoy the kingship for an extended period. Macbeth became greedy that the monarchy will fall on him and he will enjoy the rhyme and didn’t think about the issues, problems, deaths, and hurdles which would come between winning the kingship. The prophecy was expected to be true because the witches were shown to be the truth tellers. His friend discussed with him not to trust the devils as they won’t tell him the truth and have the aim to win us only.

“Screw your courage to the sticking-place.”

Lady Macbeth has spoken this phrase in a little-modernized form and tried to express her feelings against the situation. Macbeth thought that all the things could go wrong. This phrase was to convince Glamis for murdering Duncan. Imaginations could be perceived according to our minds, and while writing this piece of art, it is not clear what would be in the spirit of Shakespeare.

“Look like the innocent flower, but be the serpent under’t.”

Lady Macbeth expresses her feelings to her husband. This quote has shown that Macbeth could be innocent in judging the things but in reality, this quote is evidence of teaching lady Macbeth to be sly and insidious. She didn’t explain any morality for achieving her goals which let the writer show her in this way.
