Study Strategies and Habits for Success

The three study strategies are critical thinking, time management, and self-management. These three are crucial in helping me understand myself as a student. To begin with, critical thinking which is the ability to think clearly helps me choose whatever I want to do. It enhances my presentation skills and my language within our specific groups. Thinking systematically can also help me to improve on how I communicate my thoughts; it helps me to learn how to explain the relevant structure of the text (Carter 14). It also helps me to improve my understanding skills when explaining an idea to a certain group.

When I come up with new ideas, critical thinking helps me to become more creative with the new ideas I generate which to me is relevant and useful to the job I am dealing with. In addition, critical thinking also helps me in assessing new ideas and choosing the best ones and adjusting them where necessary. When working with others, I use critical thinking to help me have self -reflection over others so as to lead a meaningful life.

Secondly, self-management is an important study strategy that will help me in my life. When I am establishing my goals, working with others is one of the key strategies I set for myself so that I can achieve my goals. Through following these goals, I will not only manage myself but my time as well since I will be having in mind all that I want to achieve. Again, working with others will improve my self-management in that it will help me develop strong motivation and concentration skills (Carter 21).

Through learning, I have come to realize that effective self-management will always help me avoid stress when working with others and it will provide me with more chances to get involved in many entertainment activities on the campus. Self-management has also helped me monitor what I am learning in school. Self-management also controls what I am learning as it ensures that it’s within the topic and also it directs all aspects of my learning to the real-life situation.

The third study strategy is time management. To me, this is essential during my interpersonal learning. First of all, I have to list everything that I am supposed to do before I start working out. Taking time to research and plan myself helps me reduce repetition of work which I have already done. However, this version is provided to me since I am academically prepared for college studies (Carter 33). This has helped me develop thinking skills, be self-managed and help me build good study habits that I need to achieve academically. To me, this has made me be streamlined more to concentrate more on basic study skills through studying more, reading widely and at the end taking a test.

Aside, it has helped me grasp what I have learned through critical and creative thinking and improve on its important by approaching the two biggest obstacles that I encounter in school. These can be money and time management. The most important thing is that I have understood how to think and change and the same has assisted me to enhance my self-awareness through offering pre-and post-course assessments (Carter 57). In order to ensure that I develop the tools that are required to increase my confidence and to be committed to what I learn. This is why I prefer the habits for success has to be more practical and integrated into my life.
