Introduction

The present essay is an attempt to examine the social media marketing strategy and accounts of Beyonce’s brand. “Beyoncé Knowles-Carter” is a global brand and American singer. Beyonce is famous for singing, cosmetic lines, fashions, and commercials of PepsiCo. The struggles and hard work of Beyonce’s career resulted in the development of a brand that includes the music, fashion, personality, and beliefs of the singer. One of the main factors that helped Beyonce to attain fame is social media marketing. Beyonce’s marketing skills and strategies are extraordinary. Beyonce does not follow traditional singers in the use of social media and prefers Instagram and Facebook for the promotion of her albums and songs (Harper, 2019).

Beyonce’s social media accounts

The essay will cover Instagram and Facebook accounts of Beyonce. Top brands of the world are using social media accounts to promote and sell their products. Beyonce; the brand has applied its marketing strategy on both Instagram and Facebook. Beyonce said in an interview that she does not want to promote her albums through boring traditional marketing ways. Beyonce believes that it was the power of her social media accounts that in a single day, there were more than 1.2 million tweets for “Beyonce,” and the brand has sold more than 430,000 albums. The essay will include metrics such as followers on the social media accounts to consider the success of the marketing strategies of the Brand. Beyonce has more than 156 million followers on Instagram and above 70 million followers on their Facebook account (Beyoncé, 2020).

Instagram

Beyonce is utilizing Instagram as one of the most important social media platforms for creating awareness among the public about its brand. Beyonce is promoting albums, songs, and fashion through different marketing strategies. The most effective marketing strategy of Beyonce on Instagram is a high engagement rate with fans. Beyonce is providing quality content on its Instagram account regularly. The diverse images and videos that are posted by Beyonce are very interesting for potential buyers and social media users. She has maintained equity between the promotional content and the stories of her personal life. Through using Instagram, the brand has developed a positive relationship with the community of fans. She posted and responded to her clients on her Instagram account. Moreover, the trending hashtags on Instagram by Beyonce are promoting its product at a fast pace. The sharing of engaging content and responding immediately is the effective marketing strategy of Beyonce on Instagram. Instagram is a different platform for Beyonc, and Beyonce has its own rules for posting on Instagram. Sharing more than one image on the Instagram account is a cardinal sin, but after Beyonce’s performance, Beyonce shared 33 photos at the same time(Moss, 2020).

Facebook

Facebook is also an active social platform for superstars. Beyonce has a support team that responds to potential buyers on Facebook immediately. The high engagement with the buyers is increasing the loyal and faithful customers of the brand. The number of followers and likes of the brand’s Facebook page is increasing every day. Beyonce’s Facebook posts are attracting thousands of shares and comments on Facebook pages. Her Facebook team creates many events on the social media platform to promote her brand. Moreover, she has integrated the element of surprise in her Facebook accounts, and it is proved a promising and effective strategy for Beyonce (Moss, 2020).

Unsuccessful marketing strategies

Beyonce’s unsuccessful marketing strategies include the communication of the message without proper images and videos. Beyonce’s Twitter account is an example of her failed marketing strategies. She cannot find as many followers by tweeting as she got from communicating through posting images. Her Social media management team has announced that Twitter’s policy of sharing 140 words with the users cannot prove to be effective for Beyonce to share her views and attract a large audience. Therefore, she finds Instagram her favorite social media account for promoting Beyonce (Avdeeff, 2016).

In conclusion, it is evident from the above discussion that Beyonce is a top leading brand that is promoting its product through social media accounts and effective marketing strategies. The Instagram and Facebook accounts of Beyonce are more successful and engaging as compared to other social media accounts. The successful marketing strategies of Beyonce have helped it in achieving a large number of followers and potential buyers. The quality of shared content and effective use of content and videos are helping Beyonce to break the records on social media accounts.
