Social Media and Modern Human Interactions

Digital media has become a huge part of our society. It has changed the way people communicate or interact hence it has made the exchange of information more efficient and faster compared to previous years. Studies have indicated that social media has brought people together and improved the relationship between friends and families since people can communicate more often. Research has indicated that social media and modern human interaction can harm people’s ability to interact face to face extensively; therefore, it is the best mode of interact that should be encouraged. It is argued that social media is addictive and it can break face-to-face communication since many people tend to spend a lot of time readings social media updates and chatting rather than having face-to-face communication. However, social media has a positive contribution to people’s lives, it enhances time management skills, improves optimism and self-esteem, increases productivity and

Research has shown that people think that social media is a metaphor that can change our lives for the better and make us happy without looking at its real impact. Therefore, the research paper intends to look at the impact of social media and modern human interactions with a focus on how it enhances time management skills. It will also focus on how social media improve optimism and self-esteem and productivity as well. Nevertheless, it intends to present the negative impact of social media and human interaction as well. It is argued that too much social media always become a problem in the social and therefore, the research paper shall focus on these problems such as addictive and cybersecurity issues and their effect on human moods and personality.

It also stated that the positive of social media has a negative impact on society and therefore, the use of social media should be limited to reduce the damages being created by social media. It also highlighted that lack of time has made social media to be the best method of communication that people used in society. It also analyzes the impact of social media and the way people use social media to communicate. It went further to analyze the changing trends, and the lifestyle social media has created in society. The article highlighted some of the problems of social media communication and how it impacted everyday communication behavior. It noted that research has shown that people who are addicted to social media usually become shy and prefer chatting instead of having normal face-to-face communication. In order to complete the study, the article narrated the background of communication and paid much attention to Søren Kierkegaard’s media criticism of social media. However, some part of the article discusses the idea of new media and the perception people have about social media and modern human interactions.
