Should Any Vaccines be Required for Children

Introduction

Vaccines plays a vital role in keeping the children healthy and prevent him or her from various diseases. If one do not give vaccines to his or her children then he or she is putting his or her child at risk. Children has a high chances of getting the disease that is deadly or dangerous. For more than 50 years vaccines have kept children healthy. All the vaccines that children gets in their childhood are proved effective in preventing disease. Immunization is essential in order to protect your children from numerous diseases. There are no parents in the world that wants their children to get sick, if they could, we would protect them from any illness. It does not matter how small that illness is. Along with the fact that vaccines are essential for the children, there is also some counter thoughts associated with its use. Some parents take this in a negative way by posing an argument that parents should decide whether or not their children should get vaccines.

Discussion

Vaccination is one of the most essential that is made in 20th century. Many diseases like Measles, Diphtheria, Smallpox and Polio that has made world suffer a lot in the past and caused many lives to death are now prevented with the use of different vaccines. Many lives now can be saved with the use of multiple vaccines. If these developments have not been made in the past then it is highly likely that we still get infected by different viruses.

In early 1920’s, diphtheria was one of the most deadly disease that was present in USA, and had caused death of over 10,000 people per year. After this doctors started giving vaccination to the children and it was a matter of time disease started disappearing. In 1962, a year before the introduction of Measles vaccine. More than 500,000 cases of measles were reported in USA. With the introduction of Measles vaccine cases dropped down to 32,000 after 10 years and it further reduced down to 100 cases in late 90’s. Until the middle of 20th century, Smallpox was the deadly disease hitting the countries all over the world including USA. After this World Health Organization started its campaign to reduce down this disease with the introduction of Smallpox vaccination which reduce down the effects of smallpox. In 1950, people were terrified with the fact that their children were paralyzed from polio disease but with the introduction of Salk and Sabin vaccines now there are very cases when children gets affected by this disease.

Opponents of the usage of vaccines mad e arguments that most of the infections that hits children are defended by the natural system of a children. Injecting different vaccines into the body of children can cause side effects that includes paralysis, seizures and even death. Opponents contends that numerous studies have proved that by injecting vaccines in the body of children resulted in problems like autism and diabetes.

Conclusion

From the arguments and evidences presented in previous sections. This is here by concluded that vaccines do plays an important role in preventing children from various diseases. If a children do not get vaccination of polio it is highly likely that he or she will be paralyzed for the rest of his or her life. If children do not get vaccinated then it might cause them with different diseases that will affect their lives, in fact their life will get stuck and they will be unable to do all those works that a normal children does in his or her daily life.
