Russell Means is American long life Native American basically from northern part of American Sioux tribe. He was born in Indian reservation in the year 1930.His father was Harold and his mother Theodora. He was born as long time American activist. At the age of 25 years, his father and him had a participation in rally which was held in the Alcatraz Island which is located in San Francisco Bay of California from which many of the American natives were gathering for conversation which was against America accusation for the violation of the treaty which. The treaty which was subject matter was basically on un-used land which was kept for the government. In this rally they were claiming that the land should be return to the occupants. His determination was never changed by any challenge or an event that he faced but he focused on his efforts. In his life, he was fighting for the rights of the American natives and that is why he joins the movement basically Indian movement for more grips.
He becomes the leader of American Indian movement in the year 1960s. This movement was just an established in establishment of indigenous tribes in America. In the year 1973, he led the armed takeover basically wounded knee. In the year 1987, he shown his vision on American profile and run for the presidency just after he got in to the politics. Unfortunately he lost the position to the libertarian focus for the nomination of Ron Paul. He later acted as an actor from which he was among the cast in the film The last of the Mohican. In the year 2007, he led the proposal for spearhead creation of the new nation basically for northern American tribe, Lakota. He died in the year 2012.
