Introduction
The industrial revolution started back in Europe and America in 1700s when a variety of new products, inventions and new work methods were being developed for benefit of mankind. Industrial development has turned into a revolution which carries long terms positive and negative effects on the environment and the lives of people. Industrial revolution affects every facet of society including industrialists, workers, factory owners and consumers.
Negatives of Industrial Revolution

Poor Working Conditions
Due to industrial revolution, the poor working conditions in the factories have increased with many workers woerking in a tight space with poor lighting system. It results in the injury or even death of many workers working in the poor conditions. Legs and muscles of these workers do not work properly and they experience multiple healthcare problems due to unhealthy working conditions. The long working hours is another negative effect of the industrial revolution that takes the tool out of worker’s bodies. As a result, the workers often form unions and show their outrage against the management by doing strikes.

Poor Sanitary Conditions
A most common negative effect of industrial revolution is the poor sanitary condition in the urban cities due to chemical waste and increased industrialized activity. The streets of countries like England and United States are usually unpaved withholes; due to lack of drains and gutters, filth is increasing in the streets. The Manchester river is presenting a picture of coal blak due to this problem. The facories are also releasing pollution heavily into the air which is effecting the health of both poor and upper class.

Decline in Prices of Products
A positive effect of the Industrial Revolution was the decrease in prices. Without industry, the clothes were made by hand which was most expensive method. Most people had one or two pair of pants and shirts; but the people can buy hundreds of clothes nowadays due to cheaper prices and much more variety. Due to introduction of machines, the prices have gone down and the quality of fabrics has increaeed tremendously. Machines can spin 8 threads per minute which does weaving rapidly.

Increased production of Iron
The industrial revolution has helped the world to become sufficient in the production of iron; by 1839, only one million ton of iron was produced but the industrial revolution increased the production of iron to 1900 million tons in 1954. Iron is a vital ingredient used in the construction of trains, automobiles and planes. It has helped the transoortation system and movement of goods. The working conditions in some factories have improved where iron is produced. It leaves a permanent mark on the society like the French Revolutionn because being sufficient in the production of iron means the improvement in the lives of middle class.
The countries like England and united States have become more powerful withteh increased iron production. Therefor they can regard industrial revolution as a most important phenomenon in the world today. The availability of vehicles inceases tourism and national income as well. For some countries, the main source of income is the export of iron and oil.
