Owning An Electric Car

Even though most researchers posit that electrics is a new technology, such a gadget has been in the market since the 19th century. The only challenge since then has been the ability to incorporate such cars in the current markets. Certain parts of the world, mostly developing nations, find it hard to deal with matters related to power usage, and that thwarts the success of such cars in such regions (De Santiago et al., 2012). Even though technology can exist, it is imperative to explore the cost-benefit analysis and ensure that the prototype can cater for the needs of all social classes. Every person is always willing to own some of the latest devices since the human mind is progressive. However, it is imperative to take some factors into consideration to ensure a better living standard in most instances.

Ideally, owning an all-electric car is not close to my expectations, and I do not think it is such a good idea. Still, there is a need to embrace instances that will conserve the environment. The use of electric cars saves the environment in some instances. The contract between Tesla and Lotus is the central instance that resulted in the production of electric cars. Since then, the sales of electric cars have sky-rocketed, and the demand is current. Ideally, the main reason for the high demand for such cars is the ability to conserve the environment and cost as well (Schuitema, Anable, Skippon & Kinnear, 2013). Current cars tend to use a lot of fuel, which is an expensive instance. Initially, the prototype never gave the option of recharging, and that made it an uphill task going to the end of the road. As a consequence, most people find it right to own such cars, and the demand has been on the increase of late. What is likely to happen if a power surge exists along the way? Ideally, this is the main reason why purchasing such a car is not a viable idea. Compared to cars using fuel, there is the likelihood of inconveniences that might arise due to the use of such cars.

Having analyzed the cost-benefit implications of owning such cars, it is imperative to have an understanding of the market demands and the factors that are likely to make the product desirable in various parts of the world. First, it is evident that the product needs the best infrastructure (Alfred & Adam, 2009). Countries such as China can accommodate the product due to the best roads as well as the equitable distribution of electricity. On the contrary, most developing continents, such as Africa, are less likely to make good use of such cars due to the poor infrastructure. It becomes difficult to have such cars operational in such areas. That should not discourage the production of such cars since the existing markets can accommodate and utilize them in various instances.

In conclusion, having electric cars is such a good move since it not only saves on fuel but also saves on the environment to a greater extent. The cost of such cars is also high, making them profitable in various instances. According to the findings presented in the figure above, it is evident that electric car sales are currently in most parts of the United States. That also banks on the best infrastructure presented in the region. An understanding of the market is such a crucial instance that every producer should implement to ensure growth as well as success in fostering sales. That will also help in the production of products and services that meet customer demands.
