There are several of the reasons which can affect the nurses services standards and those reasons are lack of funds, outdated policies and not supporting the nurses. The nature of work which nurses perform is the essential and they can contribute highly in the improvement of these services. The first and for most initiative is to have the leadership skill which can help taking decision which can serve the core work of health care and that is providing the finest care to patients without the presence of supervision.

The nurses are staff members who should provide support to the colleagues and loved ones of the patients who are concerned about the patient. The main issue regarding the patient care involves the two entities, the first one is patient himself/herself and the second entity are the loved ones who are concerned who need the guidance to follow the corrective actions in order to be fully supportive rather being unaware of what is going on(Fraher, Spetz & Naylor, 2015). The nurses can contribute in several ways Nurses can contribute in the betterment of health care. The encouragement and the dialogues between the higher authorities can help in the policy shaping according to the needs of the health care department as the nurses who are the workface working in the frontline knows the implications of the nature of work. The other contribution which can help the health care by using the data to focus on their efforts which means when it comes to those patients who are not in critical situation can be dealt by the nurses according to their expertise. The more use of technology can also help in shaping the health care department. Mostly doctors use the technological instruments but nurse should also operate in the hour of need.

The initiatives in the United States of America is taking place for the improvement of nursing professional. The government is giving the leadership roles to nurses and giving them the authority to fully participate in the patient care role with physicians as the full partners so that they could learn more and take decisions which will help in strengthen the health care department (Regan, Laschinger & Wong, 2016).
