Null and Alternative Hypothesis
A null hypothesis is considered as the one crucial feature of the overall research process. Researchers formulate the phenomenon of the null hypothesis in their research work to indicate that there is no significant association between the two variables. It is usually identified as the hypothesis which is considered with the specific purpose to disapprove or reject. It can be identified as the statement which is usually acceptable for everyone. The main purpose of the generation of the null hypothesis in the research study is to provide the substitute approach against the actual account of the study. One can make the effective inference that researcher adopt the feature of the null hypothesis to make the position strong of the alternative hypothesis which is the main concern of the researcher. The role of the null hypothesis is crucial as it impacts the acceptance or rejection of the alternative hypothesis of the study.
Null and alternative both hypothesis are known as the mandatory aspects of the research work concerning to the field of statistics. The aspect of hypothesis testing gives the necessary opportunity to the researchers to find the answers to their research questions. The formation of null and alternative hypothesis describes the actual form of relationship between different variables which is the main concern of the research study (Hensher, Rose, & Greene, 2005). The existence of the null and alternative hypothesis is crucial because it can be considered as the statistical path to test the research objectives. It is the effective approach as it is not possible to test research questions statistically without the help of the null and alternative hypothesis. Clear understanding and fragmentation of the research hypothesis in the form of null and alternative hypothesis indicate about the researcher’s necessary understanding about the research phenomenon referring to the approach of the procedure of research.
