My wish is that I could be there with you, and hold you tight around arms,

I wish to break the floodgates of joy and happiness, and let joy like rain flood your heart,
My wish to see your face glow again, and forget the pain I caused,

I wish I could come home and there, to have the memories and sad memories fade like mist,
I wish I could cross every ocean and mountains, to come and fix what I have broken,
That’s my all-time wish.
The poem is about love sour, and the persona is wishing that the love could be ignited again. In the first stanza, the persona is wishing to hold the loved one while in the last verse the persona is expressing a deep wish to fix what is broken and help clear bad memories. What inspired me to write this poem are so many broken relationships that are happening. When the loved ones break up and part ways there is always a moment of regret where one of the partners wishes to get back and make things better. They regret their mistakes and only wish to get a chance to make up for them. Expressing those feelings becomes difficult and results in depression.
