- Make specific plans before going to socialize with alcohol drinks. The plan will include not using and allowing friends to use public convenience. Book an Uber.
- If you are in the party or an event where alcohol is available for everyone. Try to be responsible in keeping the keys of car with you and avoid drinking so that you should become a designated driver of your group.
- Keep away the intoxicated individual from his car and attach the key with his belt.
- Be responsible. It is highly appreciated if you find a man being drunk and driving, Call the Police or sheriff so that he would be immediately removed from driving.
- Identify the drunk driver. A drunk driver will be driving slow, forgets to turn on/off the lights, tailgating or may be weaving.
- It is requested to calmly start a conversation with the drunk driver and convince him to hand over the keys of car to you so that he should not be able to drive while being drunk.
- Drinking is allowed but drunk driving is not allowed. Try to convey the message to the people who usually becomes intoxicated.
- Try to become social and use your leadership skills to engage people with you by becoming friendly and convincing the drunk driving disadvantages which would help young people to understand.
