Abstract:
Technology has made lives beautiful, and thus the mobile technology is playing its vital role in it. Mobile technology is providing so many advanced features to the public, and thus the people are enjoying different services of the mobile companies. Along with other features, internet facility has made the lives easier and enjoyable. There have been introduced different internet services out of which 3G and 4G are most common internet networks. Mobile phones support 4G networks for the data downloading and data transmission. It provides so many facilities to the users by which they can enjoy messaging, video calling, and other activities via the internet. However, now there is the requirement of high-speed data transmission for which the mobile companies are trying to provide mobiles with 5G LTE network which will not only provide the better experience to the users but also will allow faster downloading of data and also faster data transmission. This study will help the individual to understand the advancement of 5G network and will explain how is it better than a 4G mobile network.
Introduction:
Mobile wireless technology started in the 1970s and had evolved from the first generation to the fifth generation. The fifth generation which is also known as 5G provides the best experience and high bandwidth to the users which they had never experienced before. It offers different new features which make it demanding and powerful technology. Nowadays different mobile technologies and wireless technologies are present, such as LTE, and Wifi. 5G provides different facilities, such as MP3 recording, camera, large phone memory, video player, audio player, etc.
The fifth generation wireless mobile technology provides best internet experience which makes the perfect wireless world. 5G is based on 4G, but it adds more benefits and services to the world over 4G which makes an important difference. It provides tremendous data capabilities, infinite data broadcast, and unrestricted call volumes within mobile operating systems.
The difference between 4G and 5G:
4G generation provides the data bandwidth of 1Gbps. It uses WiMax LTE Wifi technology. It provides us many facilities like MultiMedia Newspapers, fast downloading speed, sending data faster, HD streaming, wearable devices, Global Roaming, Multimedia Messaging Service, Digital Video Broadcasting, and Video calling. It uses Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) as frequency modulation which provides the frequency range of 2 to 8GHz to the 4G version. However, there are some limitations of this technology. It does not support the frequency band of higher range and does not provide higher speed data downloading and transmission. For this purpose, the new advancement in technology is required, and that can be provided by 5G.
The technology is developing day by day, and thus new advancements are the requirement of technology. 5G has also provided more facilities to the people, and it is expected that it will allow more data transmission, and download to the users. It provides data bandwidth of more than 1Gbps. It uses the unified IP, broadband seamless combination, and WWWW (World Wide Wireless Web) technology. 5G will not only provide the advanced features to the public but also will provide the great frequency bandwidth. 5G will use the different frequency modulations, such as Filter Bank Multi-Carrier (FBMC), Universal Filtered Multi-Carrier (UFMC), Generalized Frequency Division, Multiplexing (GFDM), and filtered OFDM. These frequency modulations will support the frequency band range up to 300GHz [1].
5G will be no doubt a new revolution for all the devices of the world. There are many users who use wireless services, and 5G will be a great advancement for them. It will provide a lot of facilities to the users and will support many latest applications. However, the major drawback of this technology is that it is quite expensive and we need to make is affordable. In this way, every user will be able to enjoy this great advancement in the technology. Nowadays different mobiles are coming with latest features, such as camera, mp3 player, and others and so 5G will be a great feature for the new mobiles phones.
Use of current version of LTE:
The fifth generation has been introduced, but it is still not easily available for anyone. It is expected that the fifth generation technology will be easily available to the public in 2020. However, many mobile companies have started creating 5G products to attract the public and also they have established their fields to test the 5G service for the users. The great advancements in 5G technology have come from Samsung, Qualcomm, Nokia, BT, and Ericsson. Samsung and Qualcomm have focused their 5G efforts on hardware by producing 5G enabled home routers and 5G modem. Nokia launched the “5G First” to provide end-to-end 5G support for mobile carriers. Along with these companies, Ericsson has also created the 5G platform to provide 5G radio system.
LTE in Mobile Phones:
Nowadays the mobile phones are using the previous version of LTE which is 4G. It is supported by iPhone and other advanced mobiles. 4G LTE network also indicates UMTS connection including T-Mobiles’s and AT&T’s high-speed network in the United States of America, such as my mobile is iPhone6 and I am using 4G-LTE network in my mobile phone. However, now the mobile companies are trying to launch mobiles with the 5G network to attract the public and to provide advanced services to the users. But a lot of advancements are required, and thus the companies are designing mobile phones with 5G and testing it to bring them into the market. It is expected that in 2020 the 5G supporting mobiles will be easily available for the mobile users [2].
Technology on Cellular Antenna:
Different technologies have been supported by the cellular antennas such as Wifi, Bluetooth, GSM, GPS, 4G or 3G phones which have been supported by the closest cellular antenna at my home. The phones which support 4G network are expected to have approx six narrow band antennae which may prove to be costly and inefficient regarding space occupation in the device [3].
Conclusion:
Although the 4G LTE network technology has provided so many facilities to the mobile users but still there is the demand for high-speed data transmission for which there is the requirement of new advancements in mobile technology. 5G LTE network is designed to provide users with best services and high-speed data transmission. By this study, it can be concluded that 5G LTE network will be a great revolution in mobile technology world which will give a real wireless experience to the mobile users.
