EDUCATION PHILOSOPHY

Focoult explained the philosophy behind education and history; he said that they are related to the non-structural and structural movements. Nevertheless, there are critiques developed against his philosophy, Nel Noddings, developed an advancement in this philosophy where she accepted on justice based approaches on the notion of caring. Though the philosophy of education is meant to help the learners develop feelings and thoughts in general. It is always essential to create an argument to particularly criticize this philosophy as a student.

Analytically, philosophers find logic to criticize the Noddings approach on the education philosophy. Her scientific criterion to categorize education basin her argument on the notion of care is not always applied. I reject this contextual analysis since I think this is just a theory. How does she set the philosophy of education over ethical caring surely? I confess this is the worst thing; I rather embrace Focoult’s extreme definition of the analysis.

Nel Noddings has failed to show from the philosophy of ethics, language, social and political aspects. This is just feminist work; she has clarified her thoughts on education in general. This has irrelevant problems on culture. Though caring is an important way to show ethics of education, I would rather term this philosophy as ‘unintellectual’ piece of work.

Where is the empirical data to support this argument? Does she care for multicultural possibilities in the society? Provide a comprehensive supportive argument on this notion of care and caring ethics. Philosophers should examine this work in order to interpret the Nel’s care on cultural and other individual multiple situations and possibilities. This philosophy is meant to generalize women experiences in the teaching fraternity and on the other hand show essence on caring and its ethics.
