Challenging Boss

From the project, I have learned that abuse of power by the officials in an organization creates fear among the employees. This is seen when other employees fear to raise issues about the officer’s misuse of credit card and once one of them raises, he gets fired. This act of being bossy may prevent the employees from doing their best and workplace, and end up performing duties just to impress those in higher positions.

With the introduction of the new app, I have also learned that that allowing your boss to access everything may also create a non-comfortable environment to the worker. This is evident when the new employee fears to raise any issue concerning the company due to the fear that he might be fired and fail to get another job since his boss has a lot of friends from different companies.

Retaining the same worker in a given institution may also contribute to the failure of the company. For instance, we find that the Officer of the new employee has been working there since 1989. With such a long period of time, he feels that he can command the new coming workers and his position can allow him to fire an employee. This promotes injustice in the company and as well as discrimination. The officers tend to employee workers of their preferred qualities rather than considering the required qualities that are going to improve the performance of the company.

I also learned that inability to fight for your rights also affect many employees. From this case, we can see the drunk officer raising his voice on the worker and other employees walk out without even trying to protect her. Inability to fight for their rights makes them exploited at their workplace since their offices know that they won’t gain any courage to report, or even come up with strategies to stop their evil behaviors.
