The U.S. dropped the Fat Man and Little Boy bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945. The decision under the administration of President Truman to drop the bomb had multiple perspectives or reasons. The first reason was that the United States wanted to elicit immediate surrender from the Japanese. The second reason is that the U.S. militarists and commanders were aware that Japan, if not stopped, would end up inflicting more casualties in the Pacific war, which would be up to 1 million as a rough guess. The third reason is that the U.S. Atomic Project Manhattan Project decided to use A bomb with the consent of scientists of the project and Truman because they wanted to raise the dominance of the U.S. as an atomic power before the soviet union that would sustain post-war. [2] Thus, the bomb-dropping decision by the U.S. was the only chance to end the war quickly. The Japanese emperor Hirohito, on 15th August 1945, surrendered through radio broadcast. [1]

The political people sped buzz in ordinary people to look for spies in nearby areas. President Truman incorporated the strategy of containment to cope with the paranoia created by the threat of communism in people. The Cold War inculcated the seed of paranoia and fear among Americans.
